About Bolsa Família
O Family Scholarship is a program of Federal government instituted during the Lula government and became a right of many Brazilians who belong to low-income families. The program's objective is to transfer income to families in poverty and extreme poverty.
O Bolsa Família Program, since becoming law in 2004, has helped many Brazilian families, mainly to fight hunger, access to public services, right to health, education and social assistance.
Families who are in a situation of poverty and extreme poverty are entitled to assistance from the Family Scholarship. But they need to have income of up to R$ 89.00 per person for families in extreme poverty and with income of up to R$ 178.00 in poverty.
To register on the Family Scholarship, it is necessary to contact the sector responsible for the program in your municipality. O Social Assistance Reference Center (CRAS), usually performs this registration in some regions.
After that, it is necessary to bring the CPF of a person responsible for the family, in addition to proof of income and identification document of all family members to verify that the income is compatible with the prerequisites to participate in the program.
How to check the balance of Bolsa Família through the application?
For those who are already registered in the Bolsa Família Program, it is possible to check the balance through the application box has, available to android and iOS. To access the application, it is necessary to inform the CPF and NIS of the Bolsa Família card.
